Donna is excited to share her roster of workshops available to learn jewellery making and metalsmithing. There are many selections available and opportunities to jump in and start creating your own beautiful pieces, as a newbie or those with more experience. Humans have been creating objects to adorn the body and hold in the hand for thousands and thousands of years. The skills required are some patience, curiosity, and a desire to make!

The Instructor:
Donna Hiebert is a working artist and jeweller. She completed her BFA and additional two years of continuous full time study in jewellery making and metal smithing at NSCAD University in 1985, and 2003 - 2005.  She has learned from masters around the world.

Donna’s work includes intimate jewellery, large scale public sculpture, installation works, and poetry. Informed by intuitive revelation and inspired by sacred geometry, she is best known for her monumental public sculpture, The Wave, on the Halifax Waterfront, commissioned in 1988, and beloved by generations of Haligonians and visitors alike.

The Studio:
Is fully equipped and designed to make you feel at home and welcome.  Located in a renovated dance studio in the historic Federal Building in the heart of downtown Hamilton!
