Barley Ring
Agricultural Campus Alumni “Barley Ring”
The Barley Ring, handmade exclusively for Agricultural Alumni by artist and designer, Donna Hiebert. Donna consulted extensively with students and alumni while designing the ring. In the few years since its launch in 2010, this official AC symbol is now worn by hundreds of alumni, young and old, across the world. Some as far back as the 1940s.
The Agricultural Campus Alumni ring features a textured pattern of barley around the band. The barley pattern represents an essential element of agriculture. Barley has been a widely planted and harvested crop in Nova Scotia since the earliest times and it was one of the first crops planted on the Agricultural Campus in 1890.
Rings are available in 14k white and yellow gold, continuum, a remarkable silver alloy with the strength of 14k gold, as well as stainless steel. Stainless steel rings are available with or without a black enamel finish relief area of the band. Custom engravings can be made inside the band.
