Delonix Regia Ceremonial Rattle

I found the seed pod for this rattle in a rubbish pile on the grounds of a Buddhist monastery in Krong Siem Riep, Cambodia. I drilled holes around the edge of the seed and stitched it to stabilize the pod so that it would not fall apart as it dried. The seeds are each in an individual channel - it is interesting to work with this rattle.
