Donna Hiebert looks to sacred geometry, ancient architecture and the rhythms of nature for inspiration in creating her stunning collection of highly refined hand made custom and limited edition contemporary jewelry.
Skillfully incorporating high karat golds and precious stones, Donna Hiebert creates jewelry that reflects bold simplicity and harmony through a complex interplay of form and function.
In the same way certain buildings are designed to serve their users, her jewelry corresponds with the body making each piece a pleasure to wear and to contemplate.
Graduating with her BFA Fine Art in 1985, Donna returned to the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design to study Jewelry Design.
She is a renowned sculptor with work in collections internationally.
Donna is a member of The Society of North American Goldsmiths and has Canadian Gemmological Certification.
She is also an Instructor at NSCAD University, Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Donna has been selected as a winner in the 2006 NICHE Awards for the piece entitled "Homage to Borobodur" in the Metal: Holloware category.
