Step Inside My Jewel Box Donna Hiebert Hosts Open House At New Gallery
October 23, 2009 – Donna Hiebert, award-winning local artist and jewelry designer, will host an Open House at the newly constructed gallery housed within her private studio.The Donna Hiebert Design Jewelry Gallery Open House will be held on Saturday, November 14th, 2009, from 10 AM – 4 PM.This is an opportunity, for the first time in Halifax, to view Donna Hiebert Design collections and custom work, directly in the artist’s private studio.
Donna Hiebert will be creating jewelry throughout the day and all are welcome to participate.She will also be unveiling several new, never-before seen pieces from both ‘Sprout’ and “Flotsam and Jetsam” collections. Her work has been described as “next level”, which clearly nods to both vision and execution. Finding inspiration from such unexpected sources as bean sprouts, Sable Island horse teeth and ocean sea worms, Hiebert’s vision consistently unfolds into unique and intriguing works of art.Her self-designed gallery space is no exception.
Recently participating in Toronto’s highly regarded Mode Accessories Fall show, DHD, in the company of over one thousand designers, was heralded as a “standout exhibitor”, specifically praised for her “delicately beautiful ‘Sprout’ pieces.” This is an opportunity to make a selection from one of Donna's signature collections, start your wish list, sit down with Donna to plan a custom piece, or simply to stop by to say hello. Your visit will be memorable. We promise.
